Encouraging Visitors? I have members who come to my site to only use the message boards or the chat room. This is great, but I would like to see them utilize some of the other site offerings. What can I do to encourage them to visit other areas of the site, and not just the community?
Your message boards and chat room are excellent vehicles for encouraging members to visit other areas of your site. You can do this by promoting certain features of the site that tie into the conversation at hand. You can also take member driven content from the chat or the boards and place it in prominent areas on the site, linking their quote to a certain feature or area that ties in with the quote. Not only will this excite the member who is being spotlighted, but it will also encourage others to visit different areas and share their findings with fellow members. We hope this helps, and we look forward to hearing how it worked for you.
